How is a mini session different from a full session?
So, what’s the big deal with these family sessions? Well, they are quick, budget-friendly photo shoots, perfectly suitable for capturing those fleeting moments in life. Whether it’s a family photo, a milestone event, or senior portraits, these sessions can be a great idea for you!
Family schedules can be crazy hectic, right? Trust me, I get it. These family fall minis are designed to provide you with fantastic family photos without demanding much of your time. Just a few minutes with your loved ones, and voila, you’ve got memories to cherish forever! These sessions are also ideal for capturing milestone events – first steps, first birthday, missing teeth …. I could go on and on! Pricing
Mini sessions will save you some money, as the time put into the actual shoot itself is less, which will likely result in less photos to edit. You can book a session to take place at any location – your home, a park … just like the full session, but it is a 30 minute session. This can be plenty of time for those little ones with very short attention spans or a grumpy teen that is only agreeing to a few photos!

Of course, I’ll never tire of a downtown alley that may appear to be a bit questionable to shoot in …. If you read through my website, you’ll notice that I mostly chase light, texture, and color, three things that are fun to discover in and downtown!
Don’t forget about our city’s sparkling gem – the downtown Canal Walk. As an indianapolis photographer, I can’t get enough of this stunning urban waterway. The Canal Walk’s shimmering waters and beautifully landscaped walkways provide a gorgeous backdrop for family photos. This session took place in Carmel, Indiana with one of my favorites, Ali! I’ve photographed Ali and her family since she was a toddler. We did this laid-back, quick and easy session at their home after a family photo shoot. It was perfect because her dogs and Jeep were right there and she could run inside and change clothes.

Jae jokingly said we should do her senior pictures in NC because it’s our favorite place to vacation, and I thought that was a great idea! I have photographed so many seniors over the years, and now it was time for my own …. Work and play are fun to mix, and the other two kids tagged along. We had a great time after our quarantine that seemed to last way too long, and now seems like it’s kind of a distant memory. She and I have been to the Wilmington area repeatedly since she was three, so these photos will always be a great memory for me and Jaeda. So many of my clients have watched her grow up online, everyone knows so many details about my kids just from us following one another on facebook and getting to know each other over the years. It’s pretty special. Here is the little girl that inspired me to start this business that has amazingly reached so many people over the years :)
These were shot in downtown Wilmington and Carolina Beach. Carolina Beach was way too crowded, not our favorite place, but the colors there were pretty hard to say no to!
